Re-ranking 32 teams off three matches each is, frankly, an enormous act of confidence from a Couch carrying a 64.3% group-stage prediction record. The method: sort by group-stage points, then goal difference โ exactly how FIFA breaks group ties โ and where that still leaves teams level, defer to the pre-tournament Power Ranking as the tiebreaker, on the theory that pedigree matters until proven otherwise. Group winners with gaudy goal differences cluster at the top. Best-third-place survivors who needed a 5โ0 against Iraq cluster at the bottom. Arguments are welcome. They will be ignored.
