Match Report

Both Algeria and Austria came into this Group J decider needing a result, and they delivered the kind of six-goal classic that group-stage deciders are supposed to be. Marko Arnautovic, the man flagged as a suspension risk all week, instead opened the scoring in the 28th minute, heading Austria into a lead they wouldn't hold for long.

Algeria leveled right before the break through Ibrahim Belghali, and the second half turned into a genuine shootout.
